Hey there!
I'M JISU

My academic years have revolved around the field of 3D computer graphics throughout my bachelor's and master's studies. Picture this: the mesmerizing ability of digital media to fuel imagination, evoke emotions, and inspire people. This facet of technology naturally steered my academic path toward the intersection of digital media and user experience.

Currently pursuing my Ph.D. in the Digital Media Program and conducting research at the Augmented Environments Lab at the Georgia Institute of Technology, I am on a quest to understand how digital media, particularly AR and VR, can create meaningful and inspiring experiences for people—prompting them to think in new and unexpected ways, with a specific focus on reshaping our relationship with nature. My research aims to bridge the gap between humans and the natural world, fostering a sense of equality and community with other entities in nature, and nurturing an emotional bond with our environment.
